So far summer has been super relaxed and generally pleasant. The picture above is from my friend's birthday dinner and it was the perfect night- good buds, good food, mango mimosas and learning how to play musical saws. Lemme just say that it makes me want to start a silly band with xylophones, saws, kazoos and shit.

I've been super busy with work lately (what's new) but the clinic flooded a few weeks ago so I have had some unexpected paid time off which is completely unheard of for me! Unfortunately, we're moving to a cute house on the Westside of Oly so any ideas of fun mini-vacations had to stay on the back-burner for this month. I'll be posting pictures of the house before and after we move in! I still don't know if we'll be able to paint or not but we'll have an eat-in kitchen with tons of counter space and storage, thank god. Also, best news, we'll be moving in with Sara so it will be like a constant sleep over. I feel a little bit bad for Mike, but he's lived with both of us before on separate occasions and to be honest, I don't think he minds one bit.

With our kitchen gadgets combined... well I'll just refrain from that pornographic description. I just picked up these two cook books:

&
Sooo fucking pumped to try basically every recipe in both of these books. Ever since reading Eating Animals, I've slowly been moving back into eating more veg-only dishes. I'm still waffling on making a full commitment but I've never really been a huge fan of meat and was vegetarian for most of high school- so it should be easy for me to transition back but it hasn't been. We'll see what happens but either way, I am so looking forward to working my way through both of these books since every recipe seems amazing. And yes, I did read through both books completely.

On a final note, I HAVE to listen to some fun music once we get anything resembling decent weather and this may very well be the most perfect mix I have ever heard in my entire life. I've mostly loved every mix that Michael over at Flashdance posts but this one has been making me sing, dance and laugh along all day.
